June-Yon Kim is Head of the Japanese Equity Team and a Lead Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Lazard Japan Asset Management K.K. He began working in the investment field in 1996. Prior to joining Lazard in 2019, he served as Chief Investment Officer and Co-Portfolio Manager of a Japan-focused long/short fund at Azabu Value Fund. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at FIL Investments (Japan) Limited from 2006 to 2015, where he managed various Japanese equity funds. Prior to that, he was a partner at Hachibushu Capital from 2003 to 2005, where he co-managed the long/short fundamental equity portfolio of the Triloka Master Fund, and a portfolio manager and research analyst at Fidelity Investments Japan from 1996 to 2003, where he managed various Japanese and Asian equity funds. He holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics and Asian Studies from Cornell University. June-Yon is fluent in Japanese.
