Evan Russo has served as Chief Financial Officer of Lazard Ltd and Lazard Group since October 2017. Evan joined Lazard in 2007, and most recently served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Capital Markets & Capital Structure Advisory. Significant transaction experience includes: Dow Chemical on their merger with DuPont; General Communication, Inc. on their sale to Liberty Interactive; Danone on their acquisition of WhiteWave; Anheuser-Busch Inbev on their acquisition of SABMiller; Tyco on their merger with Johnson Controls; MKS Instruments on their acquisition of Newport Corporation; Groupe Acticall on their acquisition of Sitel; NJJ Capital on their acquisition of Orange Switzerland; GSK on their multi prong transformative transactions with Novartis; FIAT on their acquisition of the VEBA Trust stake in Chrysler; Amgen on their acquisition of Onyx Pharmaceuticals; Axtel Communications on their $500M Bond Exchange; Deutsche Telekom on the combination of T-Mobile USA with MetroPCS; CEMEX on their $7.2bn refinancing; the Board of Directors of Mosaic on the split-off of the 64% stake owned by Cargill; Apollo Global Management on their $565m IPO; Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana on their tender offer and capital reconfiguration; MUFGâs $9bn investment in Morgan Stanley; Griffon Corporation on their $250m rights offering; and China Investment Corp.âs $5.6bn investment in Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Lazard, Evan was at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Banking Division. He worked on Capital Structure, Restructuring, and LBO Transactions, including: UPS 500m GBP debt exchange, Spectrum Brands $350m restructuring bond exchange, Blackstone $39bn LBO of Equity Office Properties, Madison Dearborn LBO of VWR International, and Primedia $850m bond tender. Previously, Evan had been at Barclays Capital focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Derivatives & Risk Management, Debt Capital Markets & Liability Management, and Pension Risk Management.
