Japan: Reassessing Perceptions
Renowned for economic stagnation in recent decades and amid concerns over its demographics and public debt, Japan has been overlooked by global investors for many years. We believe this ignores major shifts reshaping the world's fourth-largest economy and second-largest stock market. Wage growth is an upside of demographic trends, while new-found political stability reduces uncertainty. In our view, global investors need to look afresh at Japan.
